Virtue

Temperance

Saint Thomas Aquinas once said, "Temperance is simply a disposition of the mind that sets bounds to the passions."

Meekness

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart and you will find rest for your souls...” Matthew 11:29

Kindness

Saint Basil the Great said, “A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.”

Humility

Saint Thomas Aquinas once said, "Humility is the queen of virtues."

Diligence

Diligence means to put forth your best effort for the glory of God. As St. Francis Xavier said, “We must not deceive ourselves, for he who does not take pains to excel in little things, will never do so in great.”

Chastity

”Chastity is the lily of virtues, and makes men almost equal to Angels. Everything is beautiful in accordance with its purity. ” - Saint Francis of Sales

Generosity

Generosity is also known as charity and love. “And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple—amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42

Vice to Virtue

Each vice we struggle with has an opposite virtue that we should work to grow and foster.
